Labplus technology
Medical diagnostics enhanced with AI
Diagnostics in just seconds, thanks to thousands of work hours by physicians and data scientists
Labplus enhances medical diagnostics, providing patients and physicians with instant access not just to the lab test results, but also presenting them with interpretation and recommendations for the next steps. As a result, patients receive better healthcare. Labplus diagnostic engine is a product of a joint work of physicians, scientists, and data scientists. And it matches physicians’ diagnoses in over 90% of the cases.
Holistic approach
Labplus diagnostic engine takes into account every aspect of a patient's health. It is not limited to just a narrow area, it analyzes every factor that might be related to the lab test results.
Dynamic survey
Every case is different. Labplus diagnostic engine generates a dynamic survey, adjusted for every patient. It takes into account lab test results and earlier answers.
Instant results
Labplus diagnostic engine uses advanced AI algorithms and a constantly expanded medical knowledge base. It’s able to present interpretation and recommendations in just seconds.
Reliability
We develop the Labplus diagnostic engine in accordance with the guidelines of European scientific associations and experts’ recommendations. LabTest Checker is a CE class I certified medical device.
How do we build diagnostic paths?
Labplus diagnostic engine and medical knowledge base are results of the joint work of physicians, scientists, and data scientists. We’ve developed a process of building diagnostic paths based on the most recent medical knowledge, providing over 90% accuracy.
-
Defining the diagnostic scope
We begin work on every diagnostic path by defining the scope and selecting lab tests. To do that, we first analyze data from the biggest labs and medical facilities in Poland and evaluate them with our experts and Labplus Medical Board.
Phase 1
-
Data acquisition
We review the most recent medical knowledge and acquire necessary clinical data. We use data repositories of our medical partners, international guidelines, and recommendations from the leading scientific associations and publications.
Phase 2
-
Diagnostic algorithms development
We develop AI-based diagnostic algorithms, based on structured datasets, that include in-depth medical surveys and messages that will be easy to understand by the patients.
Phase 3
-
Peer review and clinical review
Once developed, diagnostic algorithms go under review by medical experts. The interpretations and recommendations are also compared to the diagnosis of a medical practitioner of a specific field.
Phase 4
-
Data Science analysis
The data science team uses artificial intelligence methods to develop diagnostic algorithms with high forecasting accuracy. Our products merge the best of two worlds: medicine and technology & AI.
Phase 5
-
Medical Board approval
Once developed, the algorithms and messages are verified and then approved by the experts of Labplus Medical Board. Labplus diagnostic engine’s interpretation ought to match physicians’ diagnosis in over 90% of the cases.
Phase 6
-
Algorithm implementation
With the datasets from medical experts and data scientists, our development team implements the algorithms and the telemedicine survey into the Labplus diagnostic engine.
Phase 7
-
Automated and manual tests
Before the new diagnostic path goes live, we run manual tests and automated end-to-end tests, and regressive tests for all of the other diagnostic paths.
Phase 8
-
Go-live
The new diagnostic path is implemented in the diagnostic engine and is ready to be used in the LabTest Checker and available in the Labplus API.
Phase 9
Labplus Medical Board
Diagnostic paths, AI algorithms, and medical knowledge base are verified and approved by the experts of Labplus Medical Board – physicians and scientists with years of scientific and practical expertise, who work with leading medical facilities in Poland.

Labplus technology applied in practice
LabTest Checker
LabTest Checker is an online tool that helps patients self-examine, without engaging physicians. Our app relies on data from lab tests and gathers necessary information about patients’ health (including illnesses, medications taken, and symptoms) from the medical survey. Our tool can be easily embedded in a website or a mobile app. LabTest Checker is marked as a CE class I certified medical device.
